BREAKING: The House Judiciary Committee just voted to authorize a subpoena of Matt Whitaker, in case he refuses to answer any Trump-related questions tomorrow. All Republicans voted against it, because they know Whitakers testimony could implicate Trump in numerous crimes.

(22,121 posts)committee not to (oh please don't, yada yada yada ... there was an earlier trend on this repug request to not go through the subpoena process w/ Whitaker).
Time the American people know the ugly truth...and then mop the damn floors etc. of all the stink and filth.

(82,849 posts)Gee, you're there in the committee room. You're a Republican who's served on the Judiciary Committee for several years. Things have always gone your way. You always vote with the majority, and enjoy the disgruntlement of your Democratic colleagues on the committee. You've steamrolled them even when you knew you were running the most nakedly partisan game to the detriment of the country. You didn't have to take any objections into consideration because you had all the power.
And now you don't. The reporters don't call anymore. Your Democratic colleagues don't give a tin shit about anything you say. You're thinking about Tom Marino and wondering if resignation isn't such a bad idea after all. Being in the minority sucks the big hairy meatball, especially when the new majority is treating you the way you treated them just a few weeks ago.
Boo hoo, motherfuckers.
