10. I don't know what kind of car you have but I listen through my smartphone any where I am.

In my car I plug it in through the charge cord and it comes out through the radio. If that does not work for you the smart phone still plays it. I use to have XM radio, but stopped paying for it. Now I listen to progressive radio through the phone.

And there are several shows you can get on YouTube through your phone. I’ve been chasing progressive radio since 2004, and it has been sometimes tricky to get unlike the other side.

In 2005 when I got XM I had to put a satellite radio in my truck. I think the smartphone is the way to go.

13. The subscription is worth every penny

If your car's radio has Bluetooth and you have a smartphone with an unlimited data plan, another option is buy the subscription that allows you to listen using the Sirius App. Then when you're in the car, connect the phone, start the Sirius app and listen that way.

I usually listen to Progress at work during the day. In addition, the subscription comes with MSNBC and I use Sirius to listen to Chris Hayes, Rachel, and Lawrence on those nights when I'm working late.

Mark Thompson is the AM host and I've loved his show since he was doing the evening show there, Stephanie Miller is still funny and informative, Signorile does a great show with diverse guests, and Dean Obeidallah has the evening show and it's usually phenomenal. Their are other shows mixed in during the day and weekends that are excellent as well.
