(11,736 posts)You can be a darling one day and then be ostracized for not showing enough deference and honoring the supposed leader. I am not even talking about Bernie Sanders here. I haven't seen anything from Sanders criticizing AOC. This is about his supporters who seemingly try to deify him and get mad because AOC isn't claiming to be "nothing without him". indeed.
AOC has espoused some Democratic Socialist views and naturally she would be aligned with Sanders. She is also her own person, used her own talents to get elected, and has her own political agenda. I am sorry but she does not owe Sanders any kind of continuing loyalty. The only people she owes anything to are the people who she represents.
