Yes, one can hop across the Mississippi as Klobuchar said

in Itasca State Park

I liked it that she started by describing the Mighty Mississippi travel from its source and then goes south, gathers strength is it goes through Iowa - hint, hint - Illinois, the home of two great presidents, to Memphis where MLK went to join the strike of sanitation workers and finally to Louisiana with its own strength.

Shows that the "fly over" states have played important role in the country.

I was watching MSNBC and one of the guests, described as a Republican strategist, after hearing about Klobuchar's grandfather working in coal mines in poverty but managing to send his son to college, commented: yes, you work in the coal mines so your children will not have to..

I love it there, my band performs there twice a year for the Concert Under The Pines series. Itasca is the second oldest state park in the nation.
