2. I am not looking for a heart but am applauding your

kindness! When I taught First Grade and my students gave out Valentines to the other students there was one class rule...everyone gets one. I would write all the names correctly and sent the list home so that no one was left out and broken hearted. You are sincerely thoughtful and sweet.

20. I remember grade school Valentines

And everyone made a "mailbox" to put the hearts in. Then there was ten minutes of mailbox stuffing, and everyone got hearts. Sometimes there was even candy!

I'm just a little jealous that I don't teach primary so I can do the Valentines thing.

21. With First Grade it is one holiday after another.

Feb was the busiest...Groundhog Day, Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day and sometimes Leap Day.

When I had the 6 year olds I never discussed the current POTUS if it was a GOP one. My students never knew that Bush existed. It was only about Lincoln and Washington during those 8 miserable years. I couldn't get away with that with older kids though.

When I first heard about Cheney’s heart transplant, my first thought was that I hoped it had not come from a Democrat, because I would have considered that a waste of a good organ -
