Just defeat them...mercilessly

Trump rally goers are the stupidest people on Earth. Proud of their lack of education, their anti-factual worldview, their cult like devotion. Dems should no more focus on flipping them than getting Squeaky Fromme 2 rethink her attachment 2 Manson. Just defeat them...mercilessly

Don't understand the cultural reference - but I am sure it has relevance.... otherwise all of this....

... This is amazing... really dated know but still to the point

What If the Tea Party Were Black?

So let’s begin.

Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters —the black protesters — spoke of the need for political revolution, and possibly even armed conflict in the event that laws they didn’t like were enforced by the government? Would these protesters — these black protesters with guns — be seen as brave defenders of the Second Amendment, or would they be viewed by most whites as a danger to the republic? What if they were Arab-Americans? Because, after all, that’s what happened recently when white gun enthusiasts descended upon the nation’s capital, arms in hand, and verbally announced their readiness to make war on the country’s political leaders if the need arose.

Imagine that white members of Congress, while walking to work, were surrounded by thousands of angry black people, one of whom proceeded to spit on one of those congressmen for not voting the way the black demonstrators desired. Would the protesters be seen as merely patriotic Americans voicing their opinions, or as an angry, potentially violent, and even insurrectionary mob? After all, this is what white Tea Party protesters did recently in Washington.

Imagine that a rap artist were to say, in reference to a white president: “He’s a piece of shit and I told him to suck on my machine gun.” Because that’s what rocker Ted Nugent said recently about President Obama.

Much more at the link. It is what turned me onto his writing. I miss his essays, he does not write essays as much as he used to - at least they are no longer published on his www.

But yeah, I'm not worrying about flipping any Trumplodytes. We DO need to appeal to the soft middle who aren't dedicated to him but may have voted for him and now feel buyers' remorse. But I for one am tired of moving to the "center" that isn't really the center and moving farther and farther to the right to appeal to conservatives.

The nation needs a huge shift to the left, and you can almost feel it happening based on 2018. Turning our backs on what won for us last cycle would be political malpractice.

I thought I was a moderate centrist until my daughter pointed out I was a far left progressive liberal. Wasn't me that moved; somebody displaced the world under my feet.

One of his first, and, as far as I know, still is pretty devoted to the late Charlie. She also attempted to assassinate Gerald Ford.
