and due to a number of factors, he wields a tremendous amount of power and so far can only be slowed down. Yes, he's suffered a long string of failures, but his executive powers almost negate the political capital he's lost. And now it's possible that the USSC will approve of his executive overreach and give Trumpy near-dictatorial authority. It's amazing that perhaps one or two people out of 320 million will have the definitive say about whether the US will turn into a dictatorship and Potemkin democracy.
