Am I right on where this "emergency" money is coming from?

It’s reported on MSNBC he’s taking it from money seized in drug busts and from money earmarked for upgrades and improvements to military facilities?

So he’s screwing the DEA, who uses the money for equipment and drug prevention programs, and the vets and military personnel?

Is that about how this is going?

2. This is how journalist Caroline Orr described it earlier today:

Trump's National Emergency declaration will reportedly take billions of dollars out of the Defense Department's drug interdiction program & divert it to border wall construction.

No, I am not joking.

Trump is stripping money from a program specifically focused on stopping drugs at the border ... to pay for construction of a wall ... to stop drugs at the border.

Maybe it’s true. Maybe they’re just propping him up for the impression he, and they, are winning and none of this bs is real. Well, except for the torture of thousands of families and children at the border.

I feel so damn bad about America right now. I hope I live to see it get better. I’m 64 and healthy enough but man... I’m taking RBG as a role model.

8. Although this whole shit show is alarming, I'm trying not to get too upset by it.

I think that the House of Reps will vote no, the Senate will vote yes, just to try to save face. When and if it gets to the court, it will be overturned. By then, Shitler will have moved on to another crisis he fabricated.

Ultimately I don't think the idiot will get any money for his stupid wall.

11. Yeah, but the drug interdiction program does not serve as a monument to Trump.

He wants something people can see and say, "WTF is that huge thing doing here? It must be a monument to a man with a giant dick"

Hard to believe the incumbents who rely on ye old "pork barrel" will support this.
McConnell, for one, is famous for showing up near Ft. Knox and Ft. Campbell to announce major funding.....

A lot of it is going to come from money that was supposed to go to fix up the shitty military housing. Way to "Support the Troops", eh?

I wonder who in the administration will be making bank on transferring money going to drug interdiction programs that are working, albeit not at optimum levels (but people are getting arrested and large shipments of drugs are being seized...) to a boondoggle that may or may not get built, and certainly won't work.

I'm sure the cartels and mob oligarchs will be very happy with their increased wealth, and Americans and American communities who are suffering under addiction and cross-border trafficking will continue to suffer for years.

14. IT's not coming from anywhere because it's highly doubtful he can build 8 billion in wall

in this fiscal year. All he's doing is wasting money. He didn't even spend all the 200 million congress gave him last time. He's too stupid to build a wall.
