(70,215 posts)a couple things about the reporting, tho.
aurora is not really a suburb. it is an old city, at the very end of the commuter line. it sorta is now, as people who work in the city move farther and farther out, but in my day few people worked in the city.
it is 40 miles from chi, not 30.
it is in kane county, tho small parts of the city are in other counties.
and yes, it suck to see your hometown on the news for something like this.

(656 posts)Love Aurora, they have a great brewery right next to the train station. So sad to see this going on ANYWHERE - but when it is in a community you've been to, there are no words.....

(16,190 posts)They moved the Aurora supercharger to Woodmans (employee-owned, MASSIVE, inexpensive supermarket Costco sized but FAR more variety and you can purchase everything in convenient small quantities) which is also cool, but I miss stopping at the brewery for a sandwich while charging.
