Trump loyalist Matt Schlapp suggests Mueller will be fired with William Barr in charge
Trump loyalist Matt Schlapp predicted Thursday special counsel Robert Mueller would be fired as Attorney General William Barr takes the reins at the Justice Department.
“Tomorrow will be the first day that President Trump will have a fully operational confirmed Attorney General. Let that sink in. Mueller will be gone soon,” Schlapp tweeted.
Schlapp, the chairman of the American Conservative Union, is married to Mercedes Schlapp, who serves as White House’s director of strategic communications.
The Senate confirmed Barr on Thursday, giving him oversight of Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and the Trump campaign.
