9. I have a question and if anyone can shed light upon it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Let's say that President Fart pardons Paul Manafort. That means that Manafort no longer has 5th amendment protections and most likely will avoid prison time. But, if he is pardoned, could he still be held indefinitely as a material witness against President Fart? Or would he have to be apprehended again and then held as a material witness? Help.
