House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) said that his panel received new documents showing that two attorneys for President Trump may have lied to government ethics officials about Michael Cohen’s payments to women alleging affairs with the president ahead of the 2016 election, Politico reports.

Said Cummings: “It now appears that President Trump’s other attorneys — at the White House and in private practice — may have provided false information about these payments to federal officials.”

I know that when a kid in law school raises his/her hand and says, "That isn't fair. I want justice!" the professor will usually scoff and tell them that justice is out in the hallway and fairness in the yard.

Problem is, our JUSTICE system DOES need to produce JUSTICE, not lies. And it needs to be fair. The old statue of Themis, the Goddess of Justice, wears a blindfold, holds a sword in one hand and scales of balance in the other.

This is why I'm fucking sick and tired of being told that doing what is right isn't practical. We need healthcare, more subsidies for childcare and early childhood education, debt-free postsecondary education, a complete rebuilding of law enforcement culture in this country, the end of the wars, far reaching repairs and upgrades to our infrastructure in conjunction with an energy policy that rapidly reduces carbon emissions and works to reverse or at least mitigate the human-caused climate change. THOSE ARE RIGHT, THOSE ARE MORAL AND THOSE ARE JUST.

We need them now. Or else end up going extinct.
