Either we pay for it pro-actively by passing legislation to ameliorate its effects which will bring jobs with it or we pay for it reactively by spending billions on re-locating massive population centers and spendng billions on rebuilding. Think Paradise, CA as a preview.

So, when I hear criticism of the Green New Deal, keep in mind that the only choice we have is where and how to spend the money. We don't have a choice to spend it all.
