I heard Word Jazz and related works on our college station back in the 80s. Blew my mind and stayed with me forever.

The term "genius" gets way overused, these days (kind of like "hero&quot . Ken Nordine was a for-real genius. RIP and many thanks.

I always enjoyed his commercials, etc. (Taster's Choice, anyone?), but his "word jazz" took me to a whole new level.

Ken Nordine, Paul Frees, Dick Tufeld, Ernie Anderson... they don't make them like that anymore.
