Whistleblowers from within President Trumps National Security Council have told a congressional committee that efforts by former national security adviser Michael Flynn to transfer sensitive nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia may have violated the law, and investigators fear Trump is still considering it, according to a new report obtained by NBC News.
Washington Post: The officials who objected included White House lawyers and H.R. McMaster, then the chief of the National Security Council. They called for a halt in the nuclear sales discussions in 2017, citing potential conflicts of interest, national security risks and legal hurdles.
Yet the effort to promote nuclear sales persisted, led by retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who served briefly as President Trumps national security adviser, and more recently by Energy Secretary Rick Perry. The possible nuclear power sale was discussed in the Oval Office as recently as last week.

(58,785 posts)if they had the power. Just see what they've done with very limited, regulated power. They've broken every regulation and law they could, by the way. That, very much including election theft, was a major tactic Germany's murderously archconservative/extreme right National Socialist German Workers' Party used to take
As for labels, how's that one for misleading? Almost every party in those very disturbed days had socialist hopefully in its name to draw in those who hoped to combine their practical needs with needs for hurting others. There was only one "real" socialist party, and it was pushing communism.

(13,776 posts)But in this one, it's just Tuesday.
I'm getting worried that even if the Mueller report is released to the public in full, the country is just going to be numb to it. And even now. nobody would care about the pee tape any more if it were released. Literally every day--twice a day sometimes--there's a news story that's certainly equivalent to the Starr report. This administration is a fire hose of scandals and we never get time to dig down because there's always a new one to replace it within 24 hours.

I'm getting really tired of all their shit. Today has been especially trying because of the pure number of mouth-breathers spewing crap all over the place. Unfortunately, I'm related to some.
