Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWhen Trump is questioned about a crime his entire tone, demeanor changes.
His tone becomes soft, he softly answers no, then tries to change the subject. He doesn't do his usual loud rant of bullshit. He becomes subdued.
He did this recently when asked about Whitaker. He did it on the airplane when asked about Cohen and the payments. Trump gives himself away, he is a lousy liar.

(37,329 posts)That's kind of strange when you consider how much practice he's had. He obviously has no talent.

(53,410 posts)to someone or something else. Like, he cant show his taxes because hes being audited and is helpless. Or he knows absolutely nothing, nothing at all, about Stormy Daniels and refers the journalists to his lawyer who is the only one who knows. Or he just says he doesnt know with the look of feigned innocence in which his bushy eyebrows climb up his forehead. In microexpressions the eyebrows pointing up, furrowing the brow is a dead giveaway of someone lying through their teeth.

Most of his bluster is in tweets.

(1,215 posts)It's the same voice he probably used to tell Melania, "You know how much I love you and how beautiful I think you are. Why would you think I'd ever touch another woman?"

(4,007 posts)It's one thing to boast about shit and lie like a rug when no one can question you (behind a podium, at the Oval Office, etc.)
But, when put into a situation when pressed for the truth, when overwhelming evidence is at hand, he breaks down, likely into an even more incoherent mess than usual. Heck, even 1st year detectives can pick up on his numerous 'tells'. He'd get his clock cleaned in any poker game, for sure!
