Interesting. Russia views Kamala Harris as the greatest threat to Trump.

“Harris attracted the most overall Twitter activity.”

A wide-ranging disinformation campaign aimed at Democratic 2020 candidates is already under way on social media, with signs that foreign state actors are driving at least some of the activity.

The main targets appear to be Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), four of the most prominent announced or prospective candidates for president.

Since the turn of the year, those accounts began specifically directing their output at Harris, O’Rourke, Sanders and Warren, and were amplified by an even wider grouping of accounts. Over a recent 30-day period, between 2 and 15 percent of all Twitter mentions of the four candidates emanated in some way from within that cluster of accounts, according to the Guardian findings. In that timeframe, all four candidates collectively had 6.8 million mentions on Twitter.

According to the Guardians analysis, Harris attracted the most overall Twitter activity among the 2020 candidates it looked at, with more than 2.5 million mentions over the 30-day period.

She was also among the most targeted...

An official with the Harris campaign said they suspect bad actors pushing misinformation and false narratives about the California Democrat are trying to divide African Americans, or to get the media to pay outsized attention to criticism designed to foster divisions among the Democratic primary electorate.

The stories about Kamala Harris on RT are largely neutral.

The stories on Elizabeth Warren always circle back to how she has baggage, oh so much baggage. Have you heard that she has baggage?

Also, RT uses neutral photos for Harris and unflattering photos for Warren.

And their absolute DARLING is Tulsi Gabbard.

...bots using stock photos of black individuals and 'weaponizing race' by purporting to speak against her as African Americans.

I think the racial attacks on Kamala at least matched the pushing of Warren's Indian story which is old news to most folks.

I'm absolutely convinced they're behind the "Bernie-bro" shit that derailed Bernie's campaign and instigated the Bernie-Hillary wars.

They played both sides against the middle - deliberatly make "pro-Bernie" misogynistic troll attacks, then switch to different personas and scream that anyone who supported Bernie at all obviously hates all women.

See how this works?

Right now, IIRC, they're targeting Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders (of course,) Elizabeth Warren, and Beto O'Rourke.

And I would not be surprised if they start spamming DU as well. I'm 100% certain they were right here in 2016.

Here's an article about that:

The trolls, right wing, Russian, or others, along with the ones who jus come here to stir things up and cause divisions here. A lot of trouble makers who left here during the last presidential primary to start their own site where they could "express" their hate for Democrats, and encourage people to vote for trump instead of Hillary, are also back here to do more of the dirty work.

It's going to be a long election season this time, and lots of trouble makers will show up.

I've seen their talking points on the feeds of many young and black youtubers. I've also seen these "bots" pop up on the feed of Roland Martin's online show. The good news is that people seem to be looking out for it, this time. Hopefully, most will be more discerning than they were last time.
