Which a lot of people took as "It is coming next week" which isn't what "as soon as next week" means at all.

I wasn't going to happen next week simply because of the President's travel schedule. I'm nearly 100% positive Trump will be briefed on the report before it goes public anyway. Rosenstein has briefed him prior to major indictments and developments so far, and I wouldn't expect that to change now.
