He said it would not end next week. So it is reasonable to ask when he does think it will end. Also no one knows where or what the source of the "report coming next week" or the "report not coming next week". So no one can say it did or did not come from Mueller's staff.

But they found something hotter, and closer to home, Venezuela. It would be near impossible to invade N Korea, as China would no doubt step in. Plus the sticky problem of their nukes being used. So a splashy hollow summit would be the most they could do. But Venezuela just kind of fell into their lap. As Ron Burgundy said, "that escalated quickly". An invasion is more possible in that country. And they now have the fascist ally in Brazil now who would no doubt let them use their landing strips. Hence the reason Bolton is pivoting from N Korea to Venezuela.
