(25,481 posts)There is a New Rule. Voting records don't matter because Establishment Democrats only vote for political gain, not because of core values and beliefs. Ignore rankings of the most progressive candidates in the upcoming election! Do not be fooled! They are pretending. We need a genuine to-the-core moral progressive. We will decide and demand support. Or else. Here endeth the New Rule.

(58,785 posts)They did NOT have Ocasio run for congress on climate as one of her issues. Nor, btw, did Bernie Sanders with any conviction in 2016 when these people worked for/supported him.
Our Democratic congressional caucuses include many climate/water/ag/environment experts who bring years of committed activism on these subjects.
In contrast and very tellingly, JD/All New (as in purge) Congress include NO experts on these issues.
They're using new awareness and fear of our climate crises as a political issue in an attempt to build power, but offer no serious, workable ideas about how to stop them and attempt to sabotage the serious work of Democrats in congress.
So, just what are their lifetime scores? We know: Worse than in the toilet. Because all who did not support the Democratic Party's climate activism with their votes effectively SUPPORTED Republican opposition and OPPOSED climate change action. Same voter effect as the trumpsters.
(Btw, do they care that disappearing fresh water worldwide is also part of our huge, huge, existential crisis? Same crickets as in prior years.)

These new Dems could use some training in ethics, before attacking the established Dems. We don't need in-party teabaggers or swiftboaters.
