Republicans: Fuck truth. We must protect our Fuhrer

Republican questioning during today's hearings with Cohen, were disgusting.

What was going on was obvious. Democrats were asking questions to reveal the truth. Republicans were asking questions that avoided any references to Trump. All of their questions were intended to show that Cohen was a swine.

Here's the reality. The Republicans on this committee, along with all the other Republicans, are going to protect their orange Fuher till the bitter end.

This brings to mind the Nuremberg Trials where the top echelons of Germans were put on trial for their crimes.

Many say this isn't the same thing. Really? Kidnapping children at the Mexican border seems like a crime against humanity to me. The fact that people have died in the custody of ICE seems like crimes to me.

Are we talking about millions of deaths? No. But when you let that first death go without comment, millions could follow.

Today, the Republican Party once again showed us who they are.

This is not hyperbole. It shows how utterly despicable the republican party has become.

15. One of if not the most important revelation has not been given much concern.

I was very concerned about Trump's response during the election regarding the transition of power following the election. This is perhaps the most important aspect of our system. Unlike what transpires after elections in many countries is our peaceful transfer of power. Elections have not only has been graciously conceded, but have superseded party affiliation in that they been a model of cooperation to insure a responsible transition of that safeguards the welfare of the country.

When asked if he would concede if he lost the election to Hilary Clinton, Trump responded you will have to wait and see. This was coupled with charges that if he lost the election that he wouldn't recognize the results because if he lost then it must have been rigged with millions of illegal ballots. This unsubstantiated claim that he contends about the actual results has been soundly denied by numerous state officials was claimed when he lost the popular vote by the majority of voters.

Michael Cohen made an important charge that seems to has seems to have generated little if any concern. He said what he feared most is that if Trump ran and lost that he would not concede. Given the polarization that has been created by the extreme ring wind dominance of the radio broadcasts along with FOX News, it not unconceivable if Trump lost the election that his army of mislead zealots, who are armed to the teeth, may actually attempt armed rebellion. What further concerns me is the caliber of the Republican representatives who are on the committee. I think that they are far too typical of Jim Jordan, a ridiculous macho swaggering nincompoop. I find it ironic that he has been named in a class action law suit for abetting the sexual molestation of athletes. It is only typical of the hypocrisy that dominates today's Republican Party.

8. Why does it seem that Republicans don't care about their grandchildren?

Why does it seem they don't care about anyone else on this planet except for themselves and the political power of the orange creature?

Holding a position of power seems to do something to one's mind. Like fuck it up.

I guess that the old meme "Power corrupts," seems to have become words of wisdom.

Yet, it is inconceivable that Republicans don't care about their children, their grandchildren, etc. Seems to me that anyone who has reached this point is fucked up beyond all repair. Or, like we called it many years ago, FUBAR.

Every one of those MFs on the committee knew it was a sham to hurt her politically, and they all played along to help their candidates, up to and including Trump. And then the committee quietly disappeared the day after the election, never to be heard from again.

They don't care about truth, they don't care about consequences, and they sure as shit don't care about America.

Isn't that the truth! I don't have words for how disgusted I am with these effers. Why can't everybody see them for what they are and for what they are doing?

Yes they've shown us who they are and we had better prepare for them to go all the way. I don't believe they will accept the results of the next election. That is something we should prepare for and not be shocked by when it happens. They will wipe their asses with the Constitution and declare tRump to be king. I hope I'm being an alarmist but the last 2.5 years show a trend that I don't think ends with peacefully accepting defeat.

I never cease to be amazed that fairness and decency in this world are the exception and not the rule.

If/when Trump is defeated, his cult followers may well call it "a stolen election." And who the hell knows how ugly it's going to get after that.

Assuming we're not soon living in a post, nuclear, "Mad Max" world, we must make sure that idiot/fool/madman, never, ever again comes to power in America.

I take solace in the fact that whether at the ballot box or the battlefield, they'll lose.
