General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsGOP leadership is happy to limit the conversation to cheating, lying, racism. Three
things keep me from being as hopeful as I might be after Tuesday:
1) Rule number 1 about the gop: If they admit to any misbehavior it's because the truth is a lot worse.
2) Cohen said he'd take a bullet for Trump. Maybe he's doing that. IMHO, after 13 years neck deep in shady dealings as his fixer Cohen presented fairly thin statements.
3) We KNOW, after three years of discussion, that there's a LOT more that's a LOT worse than some bank fraud, 8000 lies, tax evasion, porn stars, Trump Tower bribes and the like. Those are serious, to be sure...but people like Seth Abramson describe compelling cases involving treason, decades-long money laundering, kompromat, Russia, Saudi, Qatar, Israel, quid pro quo, foreign interference in elections, foreign donations to campaigns, RICO, and more. All that we know points toward massive conspiracy...nothing points away from it.
I can't shake the feeling that the massive underlying story is being managed...and that Trumpworld thinks they have a way through this.

I didn't hear a lot of questions he couldn't answer because of SC's investigation. I believe the closed door sessions were for intelligence committee hearings...so that's were things would get interesting I guess. At least the questions would be interesting.

(7,813 posts)diplomatic agencies are being dismantled while the gop rages about socialism, AOC, and Clinton...in this context something doesn't add up wrt to Cohen and his testimony. Something doesn't add up about the performances of the gop House oversight members and about the previous House intelligence committee.
What the hell are they thinking?
