1. Yes, typical republicans. Screw the country "it's not in

their interest to do that right now" with reference to impeachment. As America is turning into the infamous shithole that trump referenced. And it is totally on them, totally!

2. The longer republicans hold back

The worse it will be for "them"! I still think the biggest reason they won't act is most of them are compromised in one way or another. They know if trump goes down they go down. They are on a sinking ship and don't have the brains to get off while they can.

4. I think it still comes down to 2020.

The investigations are important, and they should continue.

With a Republican-controlled Senate, my educated guess is that the investigations will continue through the election, with no action taken against Trump, and our best opportunity will be to vote him out of office.

Of course, the Republicans have many ways t signal their willingness to end this. I don't believe they will, but if they did, they could deliver that message "across the aisle."

they are getting just about everything they want, especially all of the right wing judges, all of the climate deniers at the EPA, all of the rolling back of sensible rules and regulations, giving away land to drilling interests, and on and on.

Needy Aminy has no loyalties. If the DEMs will drag their feet on hearings about his daughter or him he will agree to support any legislation they want. I think Nancy or Chuck would cut a deal to get Health care, Gun control and Dreamers.
