House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler said Sunday he believes that President Donald Trump has obstructed justice and announced plans to request documents from more than five dozen people in the president's circle, including his son and a top company executive.

Nadler, D-NY, told ABC News' "This Week" that the committee will "begin the investigations to present the case ... about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power."

House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said on Sunday that his panel will request documents from dozens of entities and individuals close to the White House as part of his panel’s investigation into “obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power.”

“Tomorrow, we will be issuing document requests to over 60 different people and individuals from the White House to the Department of Justice, Donald Trump, Jr., Allen Weisselberg, to begin the investigations to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power,” Nadler said on ABC’s “This Week.”

I also heard that they (Congress) did some fine tuning of the process to make it easier to gain testimony/etc. but can't recall the specific rule. My searches didn't come up w/ anything so I'm putting in the wrong search criteria, I guess. I have racked my brain but no luck. Sorry.

The biggest point, is that they are doing it NOW. Thank goodness.

Thanks for providing where the 60 came from. I figured on quite a few, but 60? Great!!

Either they're behind the breaking of laws, or they are getting paid to defend crooks and innocent people who get caught up in the churn.

Like they say, if you want to have a job in good times and in bad, get trained in mortgages and bankruptcies. Now you can create your own perpetual rainfall by being a lawyer that operates over the edge.

All of this would have been out in the open two years ago if treasonous Devin Nunes hadn't stopped the House from investigating. Drumpf would likely already been impeached based upon congressional testimony, with or without Mueller.

I sincerely hope there is some statute out there somewhere that can be used to charge Nunes with obstruction of justice. The case would seem to be compelling based on the ability to prove that Nunes had enough knowledge to have warranted an investigation and refused to do so to protect drumpf, at the detriment to the country.

that investigation to the Acosta ruling in the Epstein case. Trump's involved in that someway and gave Acosta his current job as a payoff = more obstruction of justice.

OBTW, welcome to DU. I'm a bit of a newbie here also.

I think Acosta and Epstein and Dershowitz and Trump and other Johns committing crimes with underage people should have its own lurid set of hearings. This may be much bigget than just the current crop of corrupted politicians. Think about all the heads-of-industry, the do-gooders/philanthropists who are also rapists.

Hard to beat Prince and his band for getting people up on the dance floor. If we ever get tRump kicked to the curb, we’ll do some partying for sure!

Thanks to video tape, records, CDs, YouTube, etc, we get to enjoy Prince forever! RIP
