Anybody remember Cheney saying RUSSIA was a bigger enemy than Bin Laden?

Last edited Sun Mar 3, 2019, 03:23 PM - Edit history (1)

I do.

When they took over from Clinton, Clinton folks warned them about Bin Laden and the story I remember hearing is Cheney brushed that off and said the REAL enemy was Putin or Russia.

Dont recall if Putin was president then, I think he became president 1999.

So incoming is Cheney, Clinton team says watch out for BIN LADEN and Cheney brushes it off saying Russia was the problem.

Bet he wont say that today, none of them will, fuckers.

Remarkable how little it took for cheney and the rest to all become traitors.

edit

everyone is saying it was Mitt...maybe I mis remembered but what I thought I remember was a Clinton official talking about how obsessed cheney and the W staff were about russia and not about Bin Laden...

he was willing to exterminate 1 million children, women and men in order to acquire it. He is as much a warm criminal, if not more so, than Jr.

Reagan said, “You asked a few minutes ago if there was any other president we could remember would say anything like this about a fellow American citizen, and the answer is no, not publicly. If the last two years taught us anything, it’s that Donald Trump does not appreciate or grasp the grandeur and the dignity of the office he holds. And you are quite right if they are good people they grow into to the extent that they can. Trump has had the opposite effect. He is not growing into the dignity and the grandeur of the office he holds. He is dragging that dignity and that grandeur through the gutter. Because that is who he is. There is no larger self there.”

He added, “What do you think you are going to get when you install in the Oval Office, an imbecilic sociopath? Things are not going to turn out well.”

I'm sure he has more recent statements, but this is pretty telling.

I don't remember Cheney saying that. If he did, I would wonder whether it was because he wanted to profit through Halliburton.

Cheney even said it could be considered an act of war. At least for the time being many of people from that group of republicans are anti-trump (not sure if cheney is anti-trump) and at least on the right side when it comes to Russia. Some of them are more outspoken than others, but I don't think many of them have much power these days. That being said, them being right about Trump doesn't excuse their own actions in the past. Cheney might just be pro-war in general, though.
