Joe Manchin's Daughter Saw 600% Increase In Pay As EpiPen Prices Rose 400%

Mylan CEO Heather Bresch saw her total compensation go from $2,453,456 to $18,931,068, a 671 percent increase.

From 2007 to 2015, Mylan CEO Heather Bresch saw her total compensation go from $2,453,456 to $18,931,068, a 671 percent increase. During the same period, the company raised EpiPen prices, with the average wholesale price going from $56.64 to $317.82, a 461 percent increase

The stock price more than tripled, going from $13.29 in 2007 to a high of $47.59 in 2016.

Between 2007 and 2015, Heather Bresch, CEO of Mylan, experienced a 671 percent increase in compensation, according to NBC News. Within the same time period, EpiPen wholesale prices rose on average from $56.64 to $317.82, about 461 percent.

In recent years, the lobbying efforts of Mylan also increased, resulting new recommendations by the FDA for the product to be sold in packs of two and to be prescribed for at-risk patients. Not only this, but NBC also reported that Heather Bresch is the daughter of Senator Joe Manchin.

The price increases have resulted in concerned parents about the power of pharmaceutical companies and caused many to find cheaper outlets for the necessary drug.

it was wrong that Epi-pen prices have skyrocketed. It is also wrong that insulin prices have skyrocketed, even though Joe Manchin wasn't connected to that, even through his daughter.

where a higher percentage of people voted for Trump than in any other of the 50 states.

So, yes, he's more conservative than most non WVA Democrats. But he's much more progressive than any Republican in Congress.

It's the sole link cited.

The Intellectualist pageon Maven Roundtable has no identifying information on their website, no "about us", no address, no contacts whatsoever

Linked In notes only anonymous freelancer as an employee. The writer of the story, Jake Thomas, has no contact info and only a brief, vague bio. None of this looks legit.

that goes to https://www.nbcnews.com/business/consumer/mylan-execs-gave-themselves-raises-they-hiked-epipen-prices-n636591 . If you want the extra detail from that NBC story, it's:

A 2008 inquiry found Bresch didn't complete the coursework for her MBA granted by West Virginia University. The school had received a $20 million donation from Mylan chairman Milan Puskar in 2003.

Several of the university administrators resigned in the aftermath, including president Mike Garrison. The former Mylan consultant and lobbyist had gone to high school with Bresch, the daughter of West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, and was a longtime family friend.

I'd get your browser checked, if I were you. It's not showing you links properly.

Well, it is on my browser, but it doesn't appeared to have showed up like that on yours, since you're complaining there was no source for the mavenroundtable article.

I accidentally ingest something with aspirin in it. I can't believe how careful I have to be with creams, over-the-counter meds & especially holistic medicines. In fact, I try to stay away from most because a lot of them have some sort of willow bark in them. Anyway, I've been carrying around an expired one for a year because even with insurance it's gonna cost me almost $200. I'm just super cautious now. It's criminal.

Shame on her. Shame on him.
