believe "god works in mysterious ways". They think their god put trump in place in order to stack the courts with hyper conservative young wingnut judges, which he is doing. They would gladly follow a Hitler to their deaths if they felt god wanted them to. It is a serious mental illness. That's exactly why pence easily supports trump.
Maybe there is some sort of evangelical reparative therapy, which would include shock treatments, that could be utilized to turn them away from this lifestyle.
