I don't have my TV on. But I assume that the media are screaming bloody murder...

about Trump's tweet today, which was a call to violence.

Oh wait?

They're not screaming bloody murder?

Well then, that would be the effect of months and months of normalization of the horror show that is Donald Trump.

Additionally, as far as I am concerned, Congress and whatever the fuck is left of Trump's cabinet should be in emergency sessions at this very moment to discuss 25ing that deranged son of a bitch.

His tweet today, in conjunction with all of his other horseshit tweets, will be the cause of who knows how many equally deranged fuckers shooting up various and sundry places that are not supposed to get shot up, like...oh, I don't know...peaceful protests, churches, Democratic gatherings, schools.

No more of the media saying "This is not normal" or "This is unprecedented har har har". That motherfucker is testing the waters for out and out fascism, and he is setting the stage for violence when he loses in 2020.

1. Depends on whom you include in "the media".

MSNBC has had a lot of coverage of it and is seeing it as a obvious threat and a continuation of his pattern of this kind of crap.

Edit: CNN covered it, as well:

What you see in that comment is the “code” Cohen testified about. People don’t believe that can happen here. We have had so many years of Democracy that we take it for granted...but it can.

12. That's exactly what I said in another post. It was a code to his followers on action to take.

After that comment, it's easy to believe that someone told Stormy Daniels that "it'd be a shame if something happened" to her daughter.

His comment was well covered in the media.

I am screaming bloody murder, but if I even begin to talk about how I feel my post would almost certainly be pulled, and if I went on even further I would earn a time-out from DU and I don't think my psyche could survive that.

9. And what do his people think they're gonna do, exactly??

Barricade him in the white house, with themselves between him and the armed police forces outside?

Unless they're there a month in advance, it won't make a fascist incel's wet dream of a difference. The SECOND a new president is legally sworn in, the Secret Service will remove him from the building, and that will be that.

All their dreams of waves of violent 'revolution' will be broken on the granite rocks of The Rule of Law

Even the citizens who don't and won't vote, will take screwing around with the tradition of 'smooth transition' VERY DAMMNED SERIOUSLY, and I don't think even Trump's dumbest supporters are willing to risk that kind of open, widescale, public wrath.

They weren't screaming bloody murder, since I don't watch or read news sources that scream bloody murder about anything. But it was well covered. That's how I learned about it.

So you read Trump tweets but not the news? Oh, dear.

If I'm lucky, I might be able to catch an hour of TV a week, a few minutes at a time. I get my political news from DU. I don't belong to Twitter, I don't belong to Facebook. Any Trump tweets that I read are read here. Any idiotic thing that Trump says or writes is most usually read here.

Even in DU, I read the source directly, usually. Recently a DU'er posted something about Beto O'Rourke. I noticed there was no link, and the image of writing was a bit fuzzy. Turns out he was "misrepresenting" the substance of the writing. So I usually check sources directly.
