Editorial: Our endorsement of Cory Gardner was a mistake
The senators vote on border wall is a failure of leadership
We endorsed Sen. Cory Gardner in 2014 because we believed hed be a statesman. We knew hed be a conservative voice in Congress, to be certain, but we thought his voice would bring fresh leadership, energy and ideas.
We see now that was a mistake consider this our resolution of disapproval.
Gardner has been too busy walking a political tight rope to be a leader. He has become precisely what we said in our endorsement he would not be: a political time-server interested only in professional security.
Gardner was not among the 12 Republicans who joined Democrats in rejecting President Donald Trumps use of a national emergency

More and more we are seeing someone speak out about the gutless followers of IQ45 as they realize that too many are being screwed over by this mis-administration!

Anyone with half an ounce of sense could have told you that Gardner was a shithead way back in 2014.

(135 posts)4. Does anyone ever give a shit who a newspaper endorses ?
Can you recall any person you have ever encountered decide on who they will vote for based on their local newspaper's endorsement? lol

(102,237 posts)5. A lot less factor than in decades past, surely, but still a factor, depending on the newspaper...
This won't help Gardner's reelection prospects because every Denver tv station will mention it as will all the statewide political blogs.

(102,237 posts)7. Definitely... Ballot initiatives usually get a thorough review, which I find helpful.
