"SNIP.....
CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand When the gunman advanced toward the mosque, killing those in his path, Abdul Aziz didnt hide. Instead, he picked up the first thing he could find, a credit card machine, and ran outside screaming Come here!
Aziz, 48, is being hailed as a hero for preventing more deaths during Friday prayers at the Linwood mosque in Christchurch after leading the gunman in a cat-and-mouse chase before scaring him into speeding away in his car.
But Aziz, whose four sons and dozens of others remained in the mosque while he faced off with the gunman, said he thinks its what anyone would have done.

(118,642 posts)I don't want to know what is in the video actually. I just like heroes. And humanity. If I am wrong let me know and I'll take it down.

(35,069 posts)This isn't a video game, this isn't some entertainment show, not a reenactment.
Those are real people being shot at, not actors.
The people in that video, they didn't consent to being on video, much less consent to being murdered.
It's insult to injury.
Talk to a therapist or a qualified professional, that's the last I'm going to say about that.

(2,224 posts)I'm not a person who really enjoys splatter films or violence heavy video games. I can get easily spooked by sudden loud noises. I used to be squeamish to blood, but not anymore. I watch videos like these because I want to know how to prevent situations like these by looking for the signs or maybe save someone without turning into a deer in the headlights. I want to lessen my fear of these things by watching. You know Doctors and Police have no choice but to face the terrible things they see daily and desensitize themselves in order to do their jobs. They can't afford to panic. I really want to be like them and not end up becoming a Scot Peterson who let the Parkland kids down.

(4,787 posts)The killer was returning to his car, likely to get another weapon. Aziz interrupted him by throwing the metal plate at him, and though he grabbed another gun, he started shooting at Aziz rather than go into the building. (Most of the victims there were shot outside of the mosque.) Aziz kept moving, the killer ran out of bullets again, and went back to the car. Aziz then picked up a gun that the killer had discarded, and as he was getting into the car, hurled it at the vehicle, shattering its windshield. The killer then took off, but was stopped by the police shortly thereafter.
