Apparently afraid they’ll be attacked. They don’t get that they’re least likely to be attacked but most likely to breed attackers.

specifically because it was historically significant to the black community.

Megachurches tend to be attended by white people whose politics lean right and whose beliefs are fundamentalist, so, yeah, they are probably safe from right-wing white supremacist attacks.
