I know two professors. Decent folks in spite of it. They say every class has several who qualify for extra time. In regular state schools too. And even before college

(5,812 posts)And it's not just with academic testing. Ever look around and see all of the Handicapped Parking Placards? True, some disabilities are not obvious, like heart or lung conditions, but I know people who have gamed the system to get a placard. Really makes it hard for those who really need a special place to park -- like someone using a van with a loading ramp for a wheelchair.

I have a placard, too, but I am not as bad off as she is...so I walk the distance because she can't. The cars parked in handicapped without the placards are the ones that really, really get to me. Have you ever seen one of those cars towed? I haven't!
