Couple lets house go to the dogs to find homes for thousands of rescues

REMBERT, S.C. — Ron Danta and Danny Robertshaw's home isn't really for people.

"We are the guest," Danta said. "We have a king-sized bed that we share with about 15 to 18 dogs a night."

Actually, there are 86 dogs right now, which means there are 86 different animals in need of daily care.

"Usually we wake up at 5:30ish, somebody will start singing," Robertshaw said. "One of the dogs sleeping in the kitchen likes to sing in the morning."
