Scott Walker considering running for Wisconsin governor or Senate: report

Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is mulling another gubernatorial bid in 2022, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Walker, who was unseated by Democrat Tony Evers in 2018, told The Post he's "not ruling anything out" in 2022.

“As you know, I think six months is a lifetime in politics,” he said. “I’m not ruling anything out. My wife … told me, ‘Don’t pretend you wouldn’t ever running again.’”

Walker also told The Post he'd be interested in running for other offices such as the Senate seat that Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) has said he will vacate in 2022.

“I would defer to him,” Walker said. “If he chose to run again, I wouldn’t run.”
