Kellyanne Conway defended President Trump amid an escalating feud between the president and her husband in an interview with Politico published Wednesday.
You think he shouldnt respond when somebody, a non-medical professional accuses him of having a mental disorder? You think he should just take that sitting down? she said.
Conway, the White House counselor, told the publication that Trump disregarded her husband's criticism for months out of respect for me but that she didnt blame him for firing back after George Conway suggested earlier this week that Trump had diagnosable narcissistic personality disorder.
Don't play psychiatrist any more than George should be, Conway told the publication. You're not a psychiatrist and he's not, respectfully.

(41,990 posts)Got the degree, had the practice (psychoanalyst, not psychiatrist but I know a gazillion of them) for many years, know the DSM-5, and Buddy, nobody I know has the least doubt he meets nearly all the criteria for NPS and several for other disorders.
But it's against ethics to do real diagnosing en absentia so this is apocrypha. Real diagnoses are serious business and Axis II, where the personality disorders lie, are quite different from Axis I, things that tend to respond to medication and other more neurochemical interventions. Treating them is really, REALLY hard because the person has no desire for treatment. It's not them; its everyone else that's the problem.
But frankly I'm Team George.

The ship is a rockin.
