( I haven't found any links yet.)
It could be what I've been fearing. (Sorry but I always expect the worst and hope for the best.)
It may be that after the huge investigation they still don't have direct evidence that holds up to the legal standard for conspiracy with Russia. Choking with smoke but no view of the fire itself so no charges will be brought.
If they can't find direct evidence, the report will exonerate Trump on this issue.
So far all the American indictments have been for crimes not directly connected to the Russia investigation and Trump casually saying the report should be released to the public is disturbing.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't get a good feeling about this.

Mueller may or may not indict Trump, but thats about DOJ policy, not his culpability. Hes guilty as fuck.

(2,187 posts)Its right in there with:Trump is gonna fire Mueller; Rosenstein is leaving the DOJ, etc - its just for ratings. Dont worry too much about it.
And if you do get stressed out - just remember how truly stupid all of these traitors are! They're all gonna get caught.

(18,634 posts)Perhaps, even though there are mountains of circumstantial evidence, they haven't found any documents specifically stating this intent so they can't charge them.
The standards, I'm sure, are very high in this case.

will be up to Congress to determine if Trump should be impeached, and the Senate if he should be removed
at least that is my understanding

(10,125 posts)If Trump is not being indicted - which many allege is a DoJ policy for a sitting President, as I read that letter, Mueller cannot say much about Trump.
With all the redactions and extending people like Gates with more time to testify, there's more going on but maybe not by the Special Counsel. There are apparently sealed indictments. Who knows when those will be unsealed.
I watched a bunch pf this AC360 tonight
They don't have a clue what is in or not in the report.
The ABC report suggesting Rosenstein's letter to Grassley might be the best indicator about the report, general as it is, seems like the most reliable thing I've seen.

(3,784 posts)And how about that report from a month or two ago saying that Mueller had requested something like 100 more blank indictment forms?
Fake news?

(25,855 posts)How exactly do we know they exist?
And what guarantee is that (if the actually exist, which isn't for certain) that they will be unsealed? Or that they contain anything that means a shit?

(2,484 posts)It appears everyone is acting as if there won't be collusion in the report.
This is purely my speculation. My gut is that nobody outside of the Special Counsel knows all the details.

(25,855 posts)I listened to a report (I could swear it was Jeffrey Toobin on Democracy Now! but I can't seem to find it) from some political reporter who said that the likeliest outcome of the entire Mueller investigation would be a report that would be filed with Congress. And that it would be up to Congress to decide what to do. The strong implication was that Congress would simply sit on it.
There are supposedly a whole bunch of sealed indictments, but I haven't seen anything that gives credibility to that assertion. Meanwhile, those who Mueller has brought down are relatively minor players. I'm tired of the claims that Mueller knows what he's doing, he's building his case, and so on and so forth and so I might throw up.
Am I the ONLY one here who thinks this is just like Fitzmas?

(108,977 posts)says s/he "believes" there will be no indictments.
That means nothing.
If it were a real Mueller person, s/he would KNOW whether or not there were other indictments coming.
The fact that this person only "believes" means that someone in the Trump administration wants to believe. And wants us to believe.
