Democrats Not Expecting Much from Mueller Report

Playbook: “If you talk to Capitol Hill Democrats privately, you will hear something surprising about what they expect from Robert Mueller: Many of them expect absolutely nothing. Several top Democratic lawmakers and aides tell us privately that they are certain the report will be a dud.”

“If that’s the case, the White House will immediately make the argument that it’s time for Congress to shutter its investigations into the president. But Democratic probes into President Trump are going to drag on regardless of the Mueller report. The committees are looking into things that have nothing to do with Russian interference — the president’s company, security clearances, handling of classified information, decision-making in the White House and Cabinet scandals, for example.”

“Frankly, Democrats believe even if Mueller releases a report with nothing spectacular, that’s only the beginning for the Hill.”

This Administration is so corrupted, it will be just a matter of time before another huge scandal breaks. Too many crimes over too much time to sweep under a rug.

5. If the report is going nowhere,

why all the redactions this week in Cohen's warrant? Or in other recent court docs like Manafort's or Flynn's?

Why are people like Gates lawyer and Mueller asking for another 60 days from the judge before sentencing?

Why did Mueller ask for another delay on opening Manafort's records?

Why was Mueller's grand jury extended ?

It's hard to answer those questions with "there's nothing to see here" or "Roger Stone was as far as we could get ... the money going into the NRA matching the Trump campaign ad strategy was a nothing burger"

The Russian interfered with the 2016 election. Mueller is a life long patriot and top law enforcement executive. I do not see him throwing up his hands and shutting down with no answers. He'd beat the bushes until they pulled the plug on him trying to catch those responsible.
