10. This was always going to be our fight.

We can't count on the republicans to do anything so impeachment was always fairly close to being a non starter. Even if we got a majority in the senate it would have been an uphill slog. On top of that we now know that republican voters are willing to swallow anything to stay on course with their narrative of fear, loathing and hate.

The report probably contains things that would sink anybody, and I do mean anybody, if we had reasonable, rational, human beings on the other side of the aisle. Sadly, as they have conclusively proven, we don't.

All we can do is keep taking it to them at the polls. Keep pressing and not give up. Fight against this insanity tooth and nail like we have been doing. Stay in the ears of everybody we know about how they are being fucked.
