Trump, et al., are saying they are going to go after the persons responsible for the Mueller probe.

Boy, is that a mistake and I hope to hell these idiots do it.

In all civil cases, after the time of filing, there is DISCOVERY! Which means this opens up EVERYTHING upon which anyone relied to make statements and/or pursue actions. I am waiting to see what some people have in their files that supported the Mueller probe which evidence was never released and/or referred to once these idiots decide to go after them.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese, pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase, Dotard...go for it!!!!!!

He truly is an idiot, a total idiot, who has spent his life being a liar, a cheat and a bully. IMO, prior to where he is now, his money saved him -- like the payment to the chiro for the "bone spurs" to keep him out of VN.

He is now facing some very, very skilled adversaries -- Pelosi, Shiff, Nadler, Waters, Cummings, etc. And this does not take into account "newbies" that have recently been added to the House and Senate.

Let's face it -- Trump, et al., they have nowhere to go but DOWN from this point.

if he's get some corrupt Feds to charge some criminal charges that might or might not stick. Costly for those people. Always believe Trumps threats, everything else is a lie.

I can see civil litigation -- although i do not see how it may be successful.

I also see where allowing criminal charges where someone, anyone, reports suspicious activity would be very chilling to law enforcement, the public, elected officials, etc. -- particularly to those who may have a duty or mandate to report.

I am sure that there are enough liberal lawyers -- maybe not Michael Avenatti right now -- who will step forward to aid anyone who does not have the ability to defendant a civil action.

My law partner was an ex-AUSA before he went straight and became a criminal defense atty rather than a federal prosecutor. I would find it hard to see a crime that could be charged.

after (mostly) getting off the Mueller hook, there's no way they expose themselves to discovery in a civil case related directly to it.

i'd expect them to make a grand show of going forward with such actions, as it helps them shift the conversation to punishing those they scapegoat for the entertainment of their base, but they won't take it to court.

Trump seems to me to be very litigious in the past. Maybe someone can muzzle him, but he may strike out on his own with -- LMAO -- Rudy G.

i think Trump's gotten advice from enough practicing lawyers by now to know better than to litigate outside the court of mass media. and it's all the same to him, right? it doesn't matter if his opponents actually get prosecuted or sued as long as "his" half of the country believes he's trying to prosecute and sue them.

Look for him to destroy the FBI soon and purge all known democrats and anyone opposing his views out , then rename them something else he wants. He'll also go after with the DOJ all opposition, and people in businesses that refuse to bow down to him.

Trump is evil AND stupid. That is a dangerous combination considering the power he can wield. I cannot imagine him openly doing a power play like this, but there are enough evil people surrounding him that could and would.

What Would Mussolini Do?

Besides trying to further solidify his "innocence" with his cult and fan the flames of rage against the "deep state" (i.e. rule of law), I suppose he may want to get his hands on all the testimony to the Special Counsel so that he can find out exactly who ratted him out, then go after them like a fascist dictator would.

But there were already FISA actions out on people that would come to serve in the Trumposphere.

IMO the Steele Dossier just compiled threads that were already floating in the CI world for a paying customer. Other than to acknowledge that it started as Opp Info for a GOP primary campaign that was then shopped to the Dems, we don't know who initiated/funded the research.

Another thing about the GOP primary investigations not mentioned is that while Steele was hired to look into possible Russian connections because of his background, surely other areas were being looked into by subject matter experts (SMEs)? Anyone looking for dirt on Trump had to look into casinos, money laundering, construction contracts, infidelity, and business fraud at a minimum. Wonder where those dossiers are now?

So please Senate GOP, open investigations into the start of the investigations.
