I'm convinced that the lack of empathy is just one symptom of RW malevolence

I've posted before about how the very concept of empathy has become alien to the right-wing mindset. They villainized the word during the confirmation of Sonya Sotomayor. Any talk or act which might help the socially or economically dispossessed is now treated with Randian disdain.

But there's another facet to their antisocial behavior: the purposeful angering of those to their left with outrageous, ludicrous forehead slappers like the Ryan rape misstatement or today's birfer crap from Romney. Always followed by a shared smirk between the misspeaker and the audience; we know whatcher doin', good job! Har har. The wingers really seem to relish spouting puerile garbage with two intents - piss off the left and give the crowd a warm fuzzy knowing that's all you really meant with your nonsense.

These aren't mistakes or poorly worded moments. They are purposeful moments, just another tool in the RW toolbox meant to antagonize the Left instead of actually formulating sensible policy and defending it with well reasoned debate.

What gets me the most is that they think the rest of us don't hear/see/smell the large steaming piles they're dropping everywhere. I'm almost convinced we're living in parallel universes. If that's the case, I get it.

What they don't know one thing; if the far right keeps pushing the left (or even the middle) over the edge, the LW has a marked tendency to react with an unstoppable rage that will leave the RW pissing their pants in terror--if they're lucky! That's the only time you'll ever see violence from a liberal--when conservatives pick one fight too many, attack one loved one too many, etc.

This is a warning to any lurking teabaggers. You won't like us when we're really pissed off.

Message to far right: Keep pressing your luck and you won't know what hit you. We are a peaceful, live-and-let-live bunch in our everyday lives. Unlike you batshit psycho teabaggers, we don't use violence, either in rhetoric or actions, as a matter of course. But if you keep pushing your luck, you'll end up pushing us over the edge and, believe me, you'll not only wish you haven't provoked us, you're going to wish you have never been born.
