(23,671 posts)Now were all arguing whether abortion should be allowed for rape.
They've moved the conversation away from abortion is legal, and needs to remain legal, to questioning if an exception for rape should be allowed..... as in they've already moved to where we are all accepting it should be illegal in all other cases.

(31,515 posts)NOTHING pisses women off more than the "no exceptions" stuff...you're telling her she is worth less than the diseased jizm (sorry) of an rapist. There's no other way to interpret Paul Ryan's viewpoint.
And if we can use that anger to win in Nov. and maybe put this issue to rest, let's do it.

(13,081 posts)It's not honest, and it is certainly despicable, but it is consistent. If you honestly believe that abortion is murdering a baby, then why is ok to murder babies if you disapprove of the father or method of conception? If that's the case, you may as well legalize all abortions.
He's still wrong, and still a piece of shit, but at least he's consistently a piece of shit.

I'm not sure there is anything "intellectual" about this position.

On another thread I have been arguing about "morality" and under no definition of morality is Mr Ryan's statement acceptable.
