Trump's very existence in my country offends me. He is an unparalleled melding of

willful ignorance, unjustified arrogance and jaw-dropping narcissism. He is mean, selfish, greedy, vulgar, classless, self-centered and totally without a sense of shame. If he ever possessed a conscience, it long ago shrivelled into some twisted and scabby tumor which he ignores.

When I watch a few seconds of one of his "campaign rallies", the sick rapture of his fawning disciples literally makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. I simultaneously fight the urge to vomit and the urge to reach into the TV and shake some sense into the bleating MAGAts.

There is no respect due Trump. There is nothing he could ever do to redeem himself. No one who supports him or defends him can ever be my friend or share my space.

Yes, Trump's existence in my country offends me, but the fact that so many in the world wrongly consider him my *president sickens me and saddens me and embarrasses me. One way or another, this-will-not-stand.

After all, aren't we the premiere Democracy, the model to which we have exported by war to other nations? Who the hell wants this system now? Kids are still getting over lost limbs and broken hearts from iraq and afghanistan. It's not a joke. He dodged all his service. It's unforgivable. On every level. He is supposed to avoid EVEN THE APPEARANCE OF IMPROPRIETY. There's a reason for that. Bc we lead the world with grace and honor, and when we speak, people need to trust us. We are a gregarious, curious, and a generous people. He is degrading all of us.
**All the while, old folks are paying more taxes from their SS to pay for this. Folks who don't dare to dream what it's like to be pampered ONE DAY, let alone a priviledged life this malcontent has been able to live. The contempt for the working man is palpable.
We are wholesale losing decades of hard fought political battles, we negotiated with the other side. Govt we all paid people for, to work out for us to make OUR lives better. Healthcare was YEARS of monkey business from the gop. YEARS.
We have given family members, and our own blood to preserve this nation. We have given tax cut after tax cut, to people that aren't just happy being in America making it big. Not enough for them. We have to PAY them to open their factories here....to employ Americans. The highest educated and loyal workforce in the world. Henry Ford they aren't. They should be kissing the ground they live on in this Nation. Like we do. The rich act like we're here for their disposal. WE pay almost ALL the taxes anymore. Corp America can pound sand about how it should be used.
Little racist, hurt feelings trump, is going to punish all of America bc he hates Pres Obama, and is enriching himself and his 2-bit family.. He can justify being awful to us bc we had the gall to love Pres. Obama back. And shudders, HRC. Imagine that shit. He's all about destroying Pres Obama for making a joke at a correspondence dinner. The POINT of the dinner is to joke w each other. Trump started the whole birther thing. It wasn't a random attack by Obama. It was a forum to, through humor, to communicate w other adults about things. Nobody made trump go there. Trump was at that dinner bc he was stepping into Pres Obama. It was HIS night.
Im rambling. Point is we are all paying much more than taxes. We are donating 4 years of our lives in an emotional pergatory for doing nothing more than be American. Trump needs to go. Cumulatively NO ONE would even expect to stay in such a distinguished place. Every day he's there, 340 million of us suffer.

(not the part about not being able to recommend the reply; I mean it's frustrating that we are being forced to live through this)

As for the original post, the only thing I might change would be to remove the qualifier "in my country" from the post title. Individual 1 is just repulsive, and he's being inflicted on us by a bunch of cruel, spiteful fuckers whose primary goal in life is to hurt those whom they've been taught to hate, and whom they blame for their troubles thanks to decades of unrestrained propaganda in the service of the cold-hearted and greed-driven ruling class, who care about absolutely nothing but the protection continued hording of their own wealth. It's disgusting.

29. recently, for entertainment purposes, I replaced the word "liberal" in an article...
Sun Mar 31, 2019, 10:31 AM
Mar 2019

with the term "decent people" or something similar, that sort of being how I take it in a lot of contexts when it comes to "cultural" or "social justice" type issues...and I replaced "conservative" with, well, another term...here's part of the results...:

People often vote against things instead of voting for them: against ideas, candidates and parties. Democrats, like Republicans, appreciate this whenever they portray their opponents as negatively as possible. But members of political tribes seem to have trouble recognizing that they, too, can push people away and energize them to vote for the other side. Nowhere is this more on display today than in normal and decent control of the commanding heights of American culture.

...

Decent people dominate the entertainment industry, many of the most influential news sources and America’s universities. This means that people with progressive leanings are everywhere in the public eye — and are also on the college campuses attended by many people’s children or grandkids. These platforms come with a lot of power to express values, confer credibility and celebrity and start national conversations that others really can’t ignore.

But this makes decent people feel more powerful than they are. Or, more accurately, this kind of power is double-edged. Decent people often don’t realize how provocative or inflammatory they can be. In exercising their power, they regularly not only persuade and attract but also annoy and repel.

...

This judgmental tendency became stronger during the administration of President Barack Obama, though not necessarily because of anything Mr. Obama did. Feeling increasingly emboldened, decent people were more convinced than ever that self-centered, idiotic cretins were their intellectual and even moral inferiors. Discourses and theories once confined to academia were transmitted into workaday normal and decent political thinking, and college campuses — which many take to be what a world run by decent people would look like — seemed increasingly intolerant of free inquiry.

When SFB is gone, there will still be his followers and the KKKops, baby-snatching ICE pigs, and our top-to-bottom, god-believing rapture-ready neo-nazi government officials. Some of these fuckers are going to have to be swinging from ropes before we can have a real people's democracy.
I think this is a very ugly reality we have to face; there will have to be a purge if sane intelligent people ever get the reins of government again.

He is president because some very unscrupulous, greedy and privledged rich people put him there. Do you think that if Bill Gates, or Mark Zuckerberg or the Koch bros for just a minute didn't want him in the white house, he would be there? They could force him out right now today, immediately by merely offering Trump money. Or by using their money to run a relentless campaign against him.

But none of our greedy rich billionaires disapprove of this disgusting piece of crap. They are very much like Trump and like what he is doing. Trump is the inevitable result of out of control capitalism and our kingly uber rich oligarchs approve.

When he war running for president I thought it was a joke! When he got the republican nomination I was astounded that so many people backed his bid for president. When he "won" the presidency of the US, I was shocked. That 35% of Americans still back this POS is beyond my comprehension. My rw sister threw me out of her family because I couldn't "find one nice thing to say about him." Even today, she still supports him fully. I just don't understand that kind of loyalty for a POS!
