Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIt just occurred to me that if Congress gets the unredacted report...
I'm sure it will have to be redacted before it's made public.
There certainly will be information in it that Congress might see but would not be appropriate or legal for the general public.
In the meantime, while we are waiting for the public version of the report to be prepared, I'm sure Nunes and other Republicans will anonymously release cherry picked sections in order to create a false image of the report in the public's mind.
It's going to be another unpleasant circus once it does come out no matter what.
The Republican's whole system of politics is now based, almost exclusively, on cheats, lies and playing underhanded games.
They have no faith in their own policies at all or they would use legitimate means to sell their idea.

(19,981 posts)Rep. Jamie Raskin made it clear to Katy Tur earlier on MTP that they are ready to redact as required as soon as they get the report. No problem at all.

The report could contain info on ongoing investigations (handed over to SDNY, NYAG, etc) of Cheeto Benito or Traitor Tot & there could be another "Nunez midnight run" to the WH.
I don't want to give Repukes in Congress any ammo to shut down additional investigations.

(25,857 posts)I think that we all should see the entire report.
I doubt that classifying or redacting parts of it will do anything but help the perpetrators of whatever is redacted or classified.
