AOC shuts down heckler at town hall: 'That's the difference between me and Trump'

ppearing with Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC), the two were discussing the Green New Deal with the Republican stating that it would be impossible to pass the resolution to obtain carbon neutrality “with the number of committee references that you would have in the course of that.”

“Make the changes now, you moron,” shouted one man from the audience which drew a rebuke from the freshman lawmaker.

“Hey, hey, hey, hey that’s unacceptable,” Ocasio-Cortez lecture.

“And that’s the difference between me and Trump,” she added as she turned back to Inglis.

...was the heckler for or against carbon neutrality?...for or against the Green New Deal?

...if he was one of our guys, AOC should have let it ride...

...if the heckler was one of there's, AOC should have hit him harder...

...but either way, I love her...

that good may come" we will fail. If we are satisfied with being as mean spirited as the R's then we are defeated and, ultimately, doomed. We can get our message across without being nasty. AOC had a good dig about being surprised that R's were "making such fools of themselves" going after her. Done well and right. Let's hold the moral high ground and destroy this evil with love, decency, and compassion for ALL. It is hard but we can do it if we try.

I think OAC was speaking about his crude attitude. Democrats do that, along with Republicans like John McCain.

No Ma’am.

AOC defend the dignity of the debate by shaming the heckler. It was amazing to watch her controlling the debate with sound ideas and protecting the civility of the exchange. She walks the walk and talks the talk. She is the real deal.
