I fail to see why there are not others well qualified for such a position than one particular 74 year old (by 2016).

I'm a Delawarean and have voted for Joe every time he's been on a ballot. By the time 2016 rolls around, he will have served long and well.

Biden is way cool, and way qualified.

But I will bet he'd be the first to admit that it is time for somebody else to step up. That is what ethical people do.

I wouldn't be against it, though. But age becomes an issue. Just maybe he won't want to spend his remaining years tied to a president in the White House. That's what I am thinking.

Seeing the energy & joy he brings to the job makes me want to keep him around as long as possible. Also, that would be a first he could aspire to, not likely to be matched again.

It is really difficult to not love him.

I think your eternal DU soul is safe.

Mr. "I've never met a credit card company I wouldn't carry water for?" I'm old enough to remember the Clarence Thomas hearings when he was the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He worked a back room deal with the Republicans that got Thomas confirmed and DENIED 3 OTHER WITNESSES AGAINST THOMAS' SEXUAL HARASSMENT A CHANCE TO TESTIFY.

You're free to deify him if you want but I'll never forget or forgive.

Lots of changes thru the years, saw OK go from one R congressman to only one D.

Don't deify anyone. Just a thought game based on recent performance. The idea of political firsts was a drive. Biden seems to have been born to the job. Also a reaction to the Hilary for VP threads.

Without reference to the top of the ticket, who should be the VP pick in 2016?
