Former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates calls for release of the full Mueller report

Former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates thinks Americans can handle the truth.

Yates, who served from January 2015 until President Trump fired her in 2017 over her opposition to his travel ban, called on Attorney General William Barr to release special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report in a piece published by the Washington Post on Friday.

“A week after Mueller issued his report, we don’t know those facts and have only been provided with Attorney General William P. Barr’s four-page summary of Mueller’s estimated 400-page report,” she wrote. “It is time for the American people to hear the whole truth. We need to see the report itself.”

After 22 months of investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election, Mueller last week submitted his lengthy report to Barr for review. The attorney general on Sunday issued a brief summary, saying that investigators did not uncover any evidence of collusion between Russia and Trump’s campaign.
