Trump is the world's worst cheat at golf, players and celebs say

Sixteen of the last 19 US presidents have played golf — and now, in Donald John Trump, the nation can finally boast the very best of them all.

Well, that’s what he’d like you to believe.

“To say ‘Donald Trump cheats’ is like saying ‘Michael Phelps swims,'” writes Rick Reilly in the new book “Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump” (Hachette Book Group), out Tuesday. “He cheats at the highest level. He cheats when people are watching and he cheats when they aren’t. He cheats whether you like it or not. He cheats because that’s how he plays golf … if you’re playing golf with him, he’s going to cheat.”

On one hole, Trump dunked a shot into the lake, but as his opponents weren’t looking he simply dropped another ball — and then hit that into the water, too.

He'll just go until someone actually stops him. Calling him out doesn't work; he doesn't get shamed, he doesn't recognize anyone's authority to call him out. It's a projection of power, defying anyone else to enforce recognized standards.

He has a steep, jerky swing, and wouldn't, of course, listen to an expert. So while he might, by repetition, be able to reproduce it, the quality and consistency of contact is mediocre at best.
His volume of play is merely reinforcing the mechanical flaws!

14. I agree. I have looked at pictures of him swinging a club and wondered

how he could possibly be a near scratch golfer. Mid 80s golfers have far better swings that what I see in pictures of Trump. Yet he is almost 13+ strokes better? Does not make sense.

13. Surprise, surprise. A person that lies as much as he does also blatantly cheats at golf.

I actually think the two always go hand in hand. Honestly, I was only moderately good at golf, a little better than average, but I saw only one person ever cheat, one, and I made sure to never play with him again after that. A person that cheats at golf cheats at anything and simply is not trustworthy.
