Whoever books Bill Maher's guests should be fired

And he really needs to stop the multiple republican thing. Whenever there is more than 1 the show sux.

And why cant we have Chris Rock as a guest? It's been too long since he appeared on the show.

I watched it and agree with you 100%, two repugs and the woman who decided to straddle the fence on every issue. It was not Bill Maher's best night. He immediately put Medicare on the table by asking which side was right about the 716B coming from the supplier side or the benefit side. And then he gave the floor to a repug first who immediately of course used repug talking points to put forth their lies about the President's plan. And at no point during the show did either the repugs or the allegedly liberal woman bring up the $8000 voucher that the repugs and Ryan want to give seniors for their entire healthcare needs for a year. That'll be eaten up by a two week hospital stay as opposed to hospital stays being paid for entirely by Medicare Part A. I don't think most people even understand Part A, B, C and D (A is free, the original Medicare, B is doctor visits, lab test etc, paid for out or the recipients' Social Security checks, about $100, C and D are all the rest, prescriptions, vision, dental etc.) The last two, C and D, are up to the individual to get and are sometimes grouped into Medicare Advantage plans by insurance companies eager to keep seniors confused by the hundreds of Medicare Advantage packages they offer that will take a lot of green monthly out of their pockets. There are so many one doesn't know which way to go, and they can be pricey depending on the level of coverage one wants. They go from skeleton plans to fully comprehensive one, which can go for $300-400 or more a month. But if you shop around, do research and go to workshops given usually by senior centers you can find one that will cover you for prescriptions, vision, dental etc. for little or no cost. And Maher didn't get into any of this at all. There was no mention of how the repugs would throw seniors a measly $8000 and then they're on their own. It was disgusting.

If having these guests on increases his ratings .
Just the way it is.
I like him also but he's in a business of making money for himself and his sponsors.

He wants interesting television. Unfortunately, the show was extremely boring last night despite the views of his guests.

and you have to work around schedules.

Sometimes something that looks great on paper is a miss and sometimes the last minute guest becomes the hit of the show. Round table discussions aren't easy to predict.
