https://www.mediaite.com/donald-trump/lindsey-graham-accidentally-wrecks-trump-while-defending-him-he-doesnt-collude-with-his-own-government/Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has gone to some extraordinary lengths to run interference for Donald Trump, lengths which now include arguing that Trump couldnt have colluded with Russia because He doesnt collude with his own government.
On this weeks edition of Fox News Sunday Morning Futures, host Maria Bartiromo asked Graham about being with Trump when Attorney General William Barrs memo summarizing Special Counsel Robert Muellers report was released.
What was the presidents mood? Were you guys talking about it? she asked.
Well, he was very pleased that everything hed been saying for two years proved to be right, Graham said. If you know President Trump, and Ive gotten to know him pretty well, there is no way he sat down with the Russians and came up with a plan and followed it.
Then, Graham added He doesnt come up with, you know, he doesnt collude with his own government. So this whole thing was ridiculous, if you know the president, and its proven to be ridiculous.

(1,279 posts)2. "he doesn't collude with his own government"
Does he mean that Trump's government is the Russian government?

(60,144 posts)5. That's what I first heard, too.
Then the '"there's no way he came up with a plan and followed it. and that sorta re-focused me.
Graham is sounding weirdly like a hypnotized person. Bragging the other day that Trump..." let me into his world".
That's just weird. Who talks like that besides 13 year old obsessed music star fans?

(12,448 posts)7. What I heard:
He doesn't listen to anyone in his own government. Which he doesn't. Lindsey just confirmed that Trump is a narcissistic, self-serving moron. After all, he knows him very well.

(1,588 posts)3. Did she ask what Lindsey and Barr had to speak about over dinner the other night?
other than it was a mistake to meet like that, of course. Oh, and how terrible it probably looks to the public.

He was too much of a dumb, disorganized wanker to have done it?

He's a horrific thug intent on abusing power to whatever degree he can get away with, and he's subservient to the Russians, obviously, but he's not exactly "mastermind" material as far as conspiratorial plots go.
