because if he's not impeached, congressional Democrats will have that on their conscience for the rest of their lives that they didn't at least TRY to hold Trump accountable. Whether or not the lunatic is convicted by the Senate is another story of course, but the House should definitely be going for the jugular because it's the right thing to do to a sitting president who is so horrific to the country as this asshole is.
Because it takes 2/3 of the Senate to convict an impeached president, and because the GOP is so cowardly and corrupt, it's unlikely that an impeached Trump would be removed from office by the Senate, although you never know. However, an impeachment by the House alone would at the very least provide a detailed education via congressional impeachment hearings for the masses of ignoramuses who aren't aware of the crimes this president has committed because they only watch Fox News. Impeachment hearings would wake half of those fools up as to what is really going on, and that could be worth its weight in gold, come 2020.
We have the votes to impeach this world class asshole as we speak, but yes we should wait until we learn as much as possible about the entire Mueller report. Regardless of Mueller's findings, Trump should be impeached not just because he is a criminal and a traitor but because everyone else with their heads in the sand needs to hear the truth about Trump.
Besides, once Trump knows that the House is going to impeach him, there is a good possibility that he would resign from office because with his oversized ego I highly doubt that he could bear having impeachment on his record.
Truth matters greatly, but so does justice. He needs to be impeached so there is some sort of justice attempted. Bottom line, Trump deserves to be impeached, so he should be impeached.
